The School of Visual Arts invites applications to the Silas
H. Rhodes Scholarship Program, a scholarship competition for
new students, for the 2009-2010 school year. First-time freshman
and transfer applicants seeking admission to a full-time undergraduate
program for the fall 2009 semester with a minimum 3.0 GPA are
eligible for this award. Scholarship decisions are based on a
review of the applicant’s creative and academic accomplishments.
All admission and scholarship materials must be submitted by
February 1, 2009.
Johnson & Wales University is offering Georgia Hope Scholarship.
Code JWHP Student must be a Georgia resident with strong academics.
Student is required to have a 3.0 GPA in a College Prep Track
or a 3.2 GPA in a Tech Prep Track. This scholarship is renewable
up to 4 years. Apply for admissions online at www.jwu.edu Admissions

Harvard College – Students who are interested in attending
Harvard are asked to submit the Common or Universal Application
by December 1. January 1 is the final deadline. Harvard has new
financial policy that makes it more affordable if you are interested
in going to Harvard come by and review the new information in

Presbyterian College – To be considered for the Quattlebaum
Scholarship, Founders Scholarship, PC USA Servant Leadership
Scholarship and Chinese Scholars program, students must apply
by November 15. All other scholarship consideration is February
1 deadline.
KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program – The KFC Colonel’s
Scholars Program is dedicated to assisting students with financial
need who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a public
institution within their legal state of residence. To qualify
a student must be:
· Graduating from high school this academic year (between
12/1/08 and 8/31/09)
· Maintaining a minimum high school cumulative GPA of
2.75 or higher
· Enrolling in a public, in-state college or university
(start date no later than 9/30/09)
· Pursuing a bachelor’s degree
· A U.S. citizen or permanent resident

North Georgia College & State University Military Scholarship
Application (Georgia Military Scholarship) *Only 1 copy *
· The scholarship provides full assistance for four years
of study at North Georgia College & State University (NGCSU).
This is a competitive merit based scholarship. Recipients are
selected by a scholarship committee. The scholarship recipients
agree to serve in a pay status in the Georgia Army National Guard
while at NGCSU and, upon graduation, accept a commission and
serve not less than four additional years in the Georgia Army
National Guard. If a recipient falls to meet the service obligation,
the scholarship becomes a loan, which must be repaid in cash,
within five years.
· Eligibility Requirements
1. You must have 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average
and score 920 combined on the SAT with minimum of 480 on critical
reading and 440 on math or combined 20 on the ACT with a 20 in
English and 18 in math. You must also receive a college-preparatory
or dual seal on your high school diploma.
2. You must be nominated by a member of the Georgia General
Assembly who represents the U.S. Congressional District in which
you live.
3. You must be a current legal resident of Georgia and must
have maintained that status for the previous twelve months prior
to the semester for which the award is to be used.
4. You must meet mental and physical health standards required
for enlistment in the Georgia Army National Guard.
